 Unexpected The day dawned I felt unusual peace A spring in my step I noticed
Climbed quickly
Midway things changed
found myself
twinging in pain
head twirling
in more pain
light headed
i could feel
myself on another plain
seeing through an haze
embarrassment filled eyes
lifted myself
off the floor
a few more steps
cleared
sat down dazed
twirling head
more pain
someone extends a gel
it will take away
the pain
rub it gently she said
human kindness
i thought
next was surrounded
by more souls offering help
I rise
take it easy
wait
doctor?
x-ray
Ill take you
they said
pain subsides
i try to stand
manage a few steps
with helping hands
in the lift now
with my team
carrying
belongings
supporting me
They seat me down
