DAILY PRAYER TIME FOR COGST PARISHIONERS Time: 9am

FATHER GOD WE COME BEFORE YOU IN ALL HUMILITY:
we pray as you taught us through your son Jesus Christ…
Our Father who art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name!

We know that you are in control and know all about the beginning and the end of this Pandemic of the corona virus disease (COVID-19)

We recognize our hopelessness and we look to you for wisdom, understanding and guidance on how to combat and control this disease in Sri Lanka.

Forgive us Lord, for any sin in our lives, we pause now to see the things that block our eyes and hearts from seeing your will, we ask for forgiveness. Help us battle pride, remove it from our lives Oh Lord, and teach us dependence on you.

We pray for the people, we ask you God to open their minds and to consider the public good.

Take away any fear as you have promised in Philippians 4:6-8

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.”

We thank-you for the facilities made available in all the National and private hospitals, we also thank-you for the additional help from our Armed forces.

We thank-you and present our prayers for our Doctors, nurses and attendants, for their protection and safety from the virus.
For strength, vitality and for calmness as they continuously handle patients and help them to recover.

We bring before you the carriers, patients and their families we ask you Lord for your miraculous healing to touch their bodies to remove this disease. We thank-you Father for all those already healed for the miraculous healing you have given them.

We thank-you for and pray for all the other people in our land, visitors and other residents who live here.

Oh Lord, we ask that you will remove their fears, may we all experience your mercy and grace and almighty power, your majesty and compassion!

May we call on your name, knowing that overcoming this pandemic is beyond our capabilities, and if we turn to you, we will have the victory and your peace..
Philippians 4:7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
Knowing that you will hear our prayer and remove this menace from our land and the world gives us the confidence to face the future in peace.

We pray Father God that we will make time to tune our minds and hearts to you, through the help of your Holy Spirit who is our willing helper.
Let us remember to renew our minds by doing what you have asked us to do…
