1. Nature's
bounty
Breakfast today
Was fruit
Just looking at the hues
Greens, yellows, and orange
Made me grateful
Its spring here everyday
Opening buds greet you
Saplings peep
From where they shouldn’t be
Not weeds but seeds
Dropped by the seven babblers
That visit
Barefooted I walk on the rocky terrain,
Little purple and white flowers adorn
Those weeds beneath my feet
Untended, they live free
Away from a gardener’s shears
Facing the morning sun with happiness
Sourcing their needs
Life becomes vibrant
But you must have eyes to see
Beauty that your heart and soul only can capture
And revel in.
Today will you set your mind on the small things?
Let go of the voices in your head
Then you'd be pleased to see
Things that you never knew exists
If only you'd take the time
To linger over the simple and the mundane
Floral tributes clothed in pinks
A tweet of a brown bird, a tuxedo cat's mew
Take time to listen, dwell...
Gaze into the beauty of nature
As yellow butterflies glide with grace!

2. Life -he brings
A new perspective
Vision
Breath
Tender
Loving
And fresh!
Then age defying
Work trying
Sometimes agonizing
Mostly crying
About the world's pain
A brilliant mind
Humble he is
Thoughts a-flowing
To find solutions
Sprouting wisdom
Giving guidance
Where there's loss
Reverting the misery
Dispelling gloom
Bringing hope
Where there was once a tapestry of pain
There’s love!

3. Prancing
Her heart’s dancing
There's inexplicable joy
A smile adorns
There's laughter too
She thinks about him
And skips a step
Her hips sway, she prances
Heart beats faster
Her bosom swells
Looking up, she twirls
Face shining like the sun
Eyes twinkling
Quickly glances towards him
Come, meet the one
From whose lips honey drips
With doe-like eyes
And a melancholic gaze
Silently observing the reason for his amore
She’s the one he now treasures
And chooses to prance with in life forever.
