Sunday Morn
Sunday Morning
It was Easter morn!
My Lord had risen the bells tolled
I have a new love for the first time to celebrate with
A new day, a renewed life
And joy and hope with him beside
The day quietly unfolded
With little things to sort out for him and me
We held each other tenderly, hugged and kissed
There was nothing that seemed more important
Than us just standing entwined in each others arms!
I just loved his embrace and his funny words
And laughed and laughed.
We spent our afternoon with our precious families
Each in our own homes
Hoping for a future together
Someday
Where our families too will be like honey is to bee
Evening came with much excitement
Dressed up we were to be entertained
Out we went to dinner
With daughter and boyfriend
Who invited us ,
We thank their generous hearts!
Conversation flowed
Laughter was not in short supply
Meaningful connection was not denied
Between mouthfuls of food and Cocktails
We managed to weave a picture to remember
What true love can do, even transform, endear and
regenerate
We came away with a heart full of gratitude
The night was even better
As the music played
Three times over we made love
Oh what ecstasy it was!
Did God make passion? I asked
We both threw our heads back and laughed.
Then we drifted into a gentle sleep and woke up entwined in each others arms.
