Birthday Blessings!

Dearest Angie, 
About 5 weeks ago,
a lady I knew in church died after a 4 month battle with cancer. I was very sad
when she died and sad too that I couldn’t do as much for her as I’d have liked.
And so I thought I’d start a practice of appreciating the people in my life.
Every week, I would write to someone new and tell them how much I appreciate
their presence in my life. Seeing it’s your b’day I decided that this week’s
person was YOU!
So as we celebrate
your special day, I also want to thank you for your loving friendship over many
decades. I want to appreciate the person you are and to give you thanks. I
remember our beginnings – praying together in the Chemistry lab – sitting on
your verandah and chatting away, doing ministry together…..lots of happy
memories they are! I remember you as one of my pretty bridesmaids with Marto. It was great being in Mum and me together
wasn’t it – when our kids were little. And many years later, – you have been so
supportive of my writing ministry dear friend and done much to help me. Thank
you Angie. I appreciate it all.
I know life has
not been easy for you. And I wish it were otherwise. But am so glad you have
kept your faith burning brightly. And that you have continued to walk with God
despite the hard times. You have done so well – working hard and raising your
beautiful children amidst the difficulties. Well done Angie.
You have done your MBA and got through with flying colours. How awesome is
that! 
I pray for you
that God will open the right doors for you as you step into a new year of living.
May God bring the best your way. I would be thrilled if you got married again
to a godly man – and I continue to pray that will happen.
