Hey Angie,
ReplyDeleteCelebrating the special person you are and the wonderful friend! It's been about 33 years I think since our paths crossed. And am so glad they did. Have wonderful memories of praying together in the Chemistry lab at SBC together, sitting on your verendah drinking a cuppa with you and chatting about all kinds of everything.
Congratulations on all you have accomplished and overcome in life. You have done very well. I know God who began a work in you will continue to use your positive spirit, your friendliness, your smile, your perseverence to do great things through you. Thanking Him for all you are and looking forward to the future He has for you.
Blessings my dear friend.
much love to my bridesmaid and hugs too,
Asking God to fill your lap with good things.

Hi Angie,
ReplyDeleteHey, I refuse to believe the number 50! Are you sure it’s not 35 or so?
Anyway, just dropping in to say hi and let you know that you have been a wonderful friend and a teammate/study pal. The hardships in postgraduate education became fun-filled memories because I met batch mates like you.
Thanks for being such a wonderful friend.

ReplyDeleteFor me you have always been a rock, ever ready with a shoulder, or an ear and time to talk and comfort and advice
If you want to know a negative, maybe it's that you don't realise that at times people construe things differently and judge things differently and you say something that gets you in hot water. Maybe take a step back and
Hi my dear beautiful friend Angie,
ReplyDeleteLots of lovely memories flood into my mind as I think of the past 34 years since I came to know you. I remember many wonderful conversations and prayer times with you in the lab at SBC. I remember more conversations sitting on the ledge of your verandah after school. They too were special, weren't they?
I have seen you blossom from a bright bouncy teenager into an exhuberant, joyful adult. I have seen your walk with God grow. I have enjoyed your friendship. I was privileged to have you for a bridesmaid - thank you Angie.
You have blessed my life in many ways. Recently you have done lots to help me in my writing career and I want to thank you for that. I was overwhelmed and deeply touched when you organised a TV interview in July 2010 before my book launch. That was so thoughtful and far sighted of you. You've also given me many tips about my publishing journey and encouraged me in my writing. Thank you dear friend.
I have applauded you as you have dealt with life's blows with strength and courage. I have seen your faith deepening over the past few years and am so glad. You've been a wonderful parent to your awesome kids. Well done dear friend.
As for your future? You asked for some tips? I am sure you don't need any since you have a lot going for you and will no doubt treat the rest of your life with even more exhuberance and commitment.
The only advice I would give you is to stay rooted and grounded ini Jesus. He is our source of life - of love - of joy - of inspiration. Without Him - life has no meaning. With Him - life is an adventure. So dear friend continue to hold steadfastly to Him and He will be with you till the end of time.
Thanking God for the 50 years of your life and praying for much blessing and joy in the next 50! Congratulations! You've stepped into the golden age. May many many golden years await you.
Love always and a special b'day hug,
Anu xo xo xo
