Nature's bounty Breakfast today Was fruit Just looking at the hues Greens, yellows, and orange Made me grateful Its spring here everyday Opening buds greet you Saplings peep From where they shouldn’t be Not weeds but seeds Dropped by the seven babblers That visit Barefooted I walk on the rocky terrain, Little purple and white flowers adorn Those weeds beneath my feet Untended, they live free Away from a gardener’s shears Facing the morning sun with happiness Sourcing their needs Life becomes vibrant But you must have eyes to see Beauty that your heart and soul only can capture And revel in.
